Tree theft case against Bhaluka UP chairman
The forest department has filed a case against a UP chairman for stealing forest trees in Mymensingh's Bhaluka.

The accused are Shihab Amin Khan, chairman of Bhaluka Union Parishad No. 6, his managers Suruj Mia and Khalilur Rahman Khan. In addition, 10 to 15 more unconscious people have been accused in the case.
Bhaluka Model Police Station OC Mahmudul Islam said a case has been filed against chairman Shihab Amin Khan and some others for stealing forest trees. Necessary steps will be taken after investigating the matter.
Plaintiff Saferuzzaman said the timber was confiscated on the night of May 11 when 15 to 20 unidentified people, including Shihab Amin Khan, his manager Suruj Mia and Khalilur Rahman, led by Shihab Amin Khan, cut down six Akashmani trees to grab government forest land. By
A complaint was lodged with the Bhaluka Model Police Station on May 13 in this regard and it was registered as a case.
Divisional Forest Officer Amin said that forest officials also have to accept harassment in various ways if the interests of influential people are harmed at different times, however, efforts are being made to fulfill the responsibility to the maximum.
He further said that the chairman and his people are doing injustice so the case has been filed. That will be resolved through the legal process.
However, denying the allegation, UP Chairman Shihab Amin Khan said, “A few days ago, soil was dumped in my place by a pond next to the forest land. Forest officials demanded a bribe of Tk 5 lakh for dumping soil in their place. He has filed a false case against me for not paying bribe. ”
