Bangladesh, which is in crisis of vaccines, has bought and applied the vaccine of Chinese company Synofarm and also opened the way for making that vaccine in Bangladesh.
However, if a Bangladeshi company wants to make that vaccine for coronavirus in its own factory, it will need the approval of the government.
Although no official announcement of the approval was made, it was reported on Sunday that a company had received the approval.
In this regard, the press release signed by the Director General of the Department of Drug Administration, Major General Mahbubur Rahman, said,
"No vaccine manufacturer has so far been allowed to produce Covid-19 vaccine in the country."
"All print and electronic media are specially requested not to confuse the public by publishing such misleading news," the statement said.
On April 29, the Department of Drug Administration approved the emergency use of a vaccine made by Chinese Synopharm.
At a press conference that day, Major General Mahbubur said that the synoform vaccine would be made in the country. The country's three pharmaceutical companies have the capacity to make vaccines.
One of the three is Incepta Pharmaceuticals.
Bangladesh has paved the way for the vaccination of China as well as Russia. Though discussions and talks are going on about it, no final news has come yet.
